# Screens Together

> Build a video wall or scrolling-text sign with nearby iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV screens for events, exhibitions and temporary displays.

## Product facts

- Typical uses include event welcome signs, exhibition visuals, booth demos and temporary signage.
- iPhone/iPad can host or display; the host participates as a screen.
- A native Mac controller and its joined Display Node windows have separate roles; the controller is not a display tile.
- Prepare content and layout before creating an iPhone/iPad room. During playback, tap the display to reveal navigation and return to Host Room for pause or closure.
- Mac playback controls are in the controller window toolbar.
- Apple TV is a receiver and needs a nearby host.
- Local rooms need no account or cloud service. Allow local network discovery.
- This is selected-content tiling, not AirPlay, whole-desktop mirroring, or protected streaming playback.
- Shared-timeline coordination is not guaranteed hardware frame lock. Test the actual arrangement before an event.
- Local Network recovery: On iPhone or iPad, open Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network and enable Screens Together. On supported Macs, use the corresponding page in System Settings. Return to the app and try discovering the room again; the system may not show the permission prompt again.
